Donate to Zach's Recovery and Family Support
At approximately 7:12 pm on August 20, 2024, my Son-in-law, Zach McClung, 27, of Livingston, a Pool Service Tech, swerved to avoid a motorcycle and lost control of his truck and rolled, spilling gallons of caustic pool cleaning chemicals as he left the pavement and came to rest upside down. He was life-flighted to UTMB Galveston's burn unit. He suffered severe chemical burns to his skin, his corneas, as well as trauma from ingestion and aspiration.
Zach is the sole financial support for my daughter and their young children. This accident will not only be a huge journey just in Zach's physical healing and medical care but is devastating for his family's financial stability and living conditions. They rent their home. The children are in school with no immediate family close by to help with childcare or getting the children to school. Just the cost of gas alone for that 2+ hour drive, one way, during the entirety of Zach's hospital stay in Galveston, will be daunting for anyone who may be able to help, since they are now without working transportation. We need so many miracles. If you're able to help, we are trying to raise funds for the family to help in any way possible. Anything and everything would be an incredible gift. https://www.polkcountytoday.com/acc082024.html
