My name is Lisa Cahrier. I am raising money for my son, Zachary Cahrier, for his medical needs. My son was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy in June. This means his heart is only functioning on one muscle and is only pumping at 24%.

He is on 5 different medications at this time. I spoke with Holly at his doctor's office last week. She told me his refraction is 24%, which means there is a chance his heart could just stop, so they are trying to get his numbers up to at least 35% because there is less of a risk of his heart just stopping. But as Holly said, they would like his number to be 55% or above.

Because of going back and forth to the doctor and hospital, Zachary has so much medical debt. He misses work so he can go to the doctor, and that means his paychecks are short. His medication is expensive along with all of the testing. Even with his insurance, the cost is overwhelming. He worries about being able to afford his medication and doctors. He has been told that he has to be as stress-free as possible. He has to take naps often due to his condition.
