Hello, I am starting this fundraiser for my wife of twenty-one years. Her name is Yvonne Escalera. She is diabetic and has been on dialysis while she awaits a kidney transplant. Last month she had a toe amputated after an infection. Earlier this week, she suffered a major setback and had to undergo the amputation of all the toes on her left foot. She is still in the hospital recovering from surgery.
Because of the severity of her condition, she requires full-time care right now. Her husband has not been able to return to work so that he can stay by her side and help her through her recovery. With both of them unable to work, they currently have no income and no support system to lean on. They are struggling to afford even basic necessities like food.
She has been through unimaginable hardship already — including the loss of her daughter — and this new medical crisis has left her feeling desperate and overwhelmed. Asking for help is incredibly difficult for her, but the situation has become truly urgent.
I’m asking for support on their behalf so they can make it through the next few weeks while she recovers. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a real difference in helping them afford food, essential bills, and stability during this painful time.
Whether or not you are able to donate, sharing this campaign is also deeply appreciated.
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and prayers during this incredibly hard moment in their lives.
