Today, I am humbly reaching out on behalf of William, a devoted son, uncle, and selfless caregiver who now finds himself in a fight for his own life. For years, William has been the full-time caregiver to his elderly mother, putting her needs before his own without hesitation. But now he is the one who needs help. Due to advanced illness, he has been permanently hospitalized and placed on the transplant waiting list for a double lung transplant—the only thing that can save his life. While fighting his illness he has been unable to work. Medical bills have piled up, both for him and his mother’s ongoing care.
