My name is Virginia Doom and I am raising funds to help with my son’s medical costs, bills, and expenses.
William was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on February 7,2020, at just 4 years old. After enduring 3.5 years of outpatient treatments and inpatient stays, William reached his final treatment on June 30, 2023. However, the journey took another difficult turn in September 2024 when William began experiencing concerning symptoms. Bloodwork revealed that his leukemia had returned, and now at 9 years old, William is once again undergoing treatment in anticipation of remission. William once again endured multiple courses of chemotherapy, then radiation, in preparation for a bone marrow transplant which he received on February 12. Now William is once again undergoing the long road to recovery having stayed 5 weeks in the hospital, and now has multiple appointments each week accompanied by a regimen of many medications.
For now I am off work to help take care of him and get him to his appointments. We have relocated to Cincinnati for the bone marrow transplant and will be staying for at least a couple more months. If you would like to help our family out, we really appreciate and thank you so much! Please share our story!
