Hi, my name is Jenny, and im on a life-saving journey to find a living kidney donor for my husband Wesley. We live in Illinois, with 2 of our grandkids that we adopted 6 yr old and 15 yr old. Both special needs. We have been married for 35 yrs—something we are deeply thankful for.

 What Happened to Wesley

 Last year, everything changed. What started as an ER trip for not being able to bend his leg turned into something much more serious. After some tests, Wes was diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)—his kidneys were failing, and he had to make the decision to do dialysis and get a transplant. It turned our world upside down. Before this diagnosis, he was working 24/7/365 as a tow truck driver. He had done it for over 25yrs. But his illness and dialysis has made it impossible for him to continue. Him, Not being able to provide for his family—has been heartbreaking for him.

 Why we are Asking for Help

 We are reaching out with humility and hope. We need help not only to find a living kidney donor but also to raise funds for:

 • Dialysis expenses

•Medical expenses (not all transplant costs are covered)

 

• Lodging and meals during recovery

 • Transportation for treatments and appointments

 

• Basic living expenses as he remains out of work during this time

 Any donation—big or small—means the world to us and our family. I will be having to take time off to care for Wes. And my work does not have FMLA. Which is why we need to cover our expenses for bills and everyday expenses as well. Every bit of support brings Wes closer to a new kidney and a chance to live fully again.

 How a Kidney Would Change Wesley's Life

A transplant would give him back the freedom to be present for the people he loves. He wants to help me, take our kids to school, celebrate milestones, and be there for every laugh, every hug, every graduation. He's only 55 years old.
