Hi, I’m Brittanie and my wife’s name is Wendy. We’re in the process of getting her green card. I’m currently working full-time. She is unable to work until she gets a work permit. She saved up money for the process while she was in the last months of being an au pair, but au pairs really don’t make much money.

We just received her immigration paperwork and the process fees are $3005. We were told it would be about $1200 to $1400, which we had saved up for that. But it was spent on attorney fees, filing fees, and birth certificates. So, we’re asking for help. I’m a Capricorn and I hate asking for help, especially money. I pride myself on being able to figure things out, but this has me at a loss.

We’re trying to get all of her paperwork done so that she can work soon. The sooner she can work; the sooner we can plan for a baby. I’ve been waiting to be a mom and I’m not getting any younger.
