Hello, my name is Wendell. I am 67 years-old. I have had 16 various procedures on my legs for severe vascular disease. On August 20, 2024 my wife and I received devastating news. My most recent surgery caused a lot of internal bleeding which caused infection. It was severe enough that I had to have more than 18 pints of blood. The only option to stop the bleeding and infection was to amputate my right leg above the knee. And now, I am here asking for help to make my house handicap accessible and to help pay medical bills. Some things that I’ll need are a hitch and trailer for my motorized wheelchair, a ramp to get inside my house, bedroom and bathroom doors widened, lift assist, and a walk- in shower.
