Donate to Waylon's Medical Journey

Hi, we are raising money for our son’s current hospital stay and future appointments/hospital stays. Waylon was born with HLHS and also has hepatoblastoma cancer of the liver. On May 13th, 2025, I had to call 911 as I thought we were experiencing our first seizure at home. He was taken by ambulance to Altoona Hospital. Once we arrived, he experienced two more “seizures” and was then taken to Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Waylon was hooked up to machines to test for seizure activity, and it turns out there was no evidence of seizure activity.
On 5/14, we were told he was in active SVT, and that explained his “seizures”; it was actually a lack of O2 to the brain. On 5/14, Waylon was shocked back into a normal heart rhythm. He is now on two heart medications and has remained in the ICU on a lot of oxygen and nitric oxide. He went a full 24 hours off nitric oxide and was placed back on as his O2 plummeted. During this stay, he was diagnosed with two viruses, which he is still recovering from. His lungs don’t look the best, but we are hopeful they will look better as he recovers.
All donations will be used for this current hospital stay and future appointments and admissions.
