Hi, I’m Rachel and many of you already know my boy Waylon. In true Waylon fashion he consumed multiple toxic items and has been hospitalized for the last few days. After being treated at one emergency clinic and not seeing improvements, he had to be transferred to a specialist hospital. Waylon’s kidney function and other critical levels are becoming more stable but need round the clock attention from veterinary professionals.

I have to admit everything that has happened over the last few days still feels surreal. I never thought we would be in this situation but accidents happen and those of you who know Waylon, know that mischief is his middle name. While we always have an emergency fund for our dogs, this level of care has completely drained that fund.

Choosing between Waylon’s life and what we can afford is such a brutal place to be. We have made it work by maxing out a credit card but unfortunately we have no immediate way to pay it back.

Asking for help is a humbling place to be and one that I wouldn’t be in if it weren’t for the love and deep devotion we have for Waylon.

Our current vet bills are at $3821.30 and an estimated $1790.80 to get him the care he needs for the next 24 hours.

All funds raised will go directly to his emergency care.
