Help Ward Lafforthun Recover from a Cerebrospinal Fluid Leak (CSF) and multiple brain bleeds

Hello, The Galway Volunteer Fire Company is reaching out to you on behalf of our Volunteer Members, Ward & Michelle. Recently, Ward experienced a life-changing medical event, CSF occurs when the fluid around the brain and spinal cord leaks out through a tear or hole in the dura mater, and we are seeking your support to help cover the overwhelming medical expenses.

Ward is a longtime Galway Volunteer Fire Company member, Loving Father, Husband and Dog dad, who has always been there for others. Unfortunately, in early November, he suffered from CSF and a Brain Bleed. This has led to a length stay in the hospital in the ICU, and two surgeries.

Despite the challenges, Ward remains hopeful and determined to recover. However, the financial burden is immense. The costs of hospital stay, surgeries, medications, physical therapy and traveling are far beyond what our family can manage alone.

We are humbly asking for your support to help Ward get the care he needs. Your generous donations will go directly towards covering medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and any other necessary expenses to aid in Ward's recovery.
