Valentine’s Day came to an abrupt and sad end for my Walter and I. Following dinner we were run into by an aggressive driver. Unfortunately the exchange was not at all what anyone would’ve expected. At the point of taking photos of the offensive drivers license plate, the assailant pushed Walter over a bridge where he sustained 9 broken ribs, a collapsed lung and stomach bleed.

We have filed police reports and the authorities are looking for the man who assaulted him. Meanwhile, Walter is to remain under observation at the Hospital and expected to be out of work the next couple of months. This is going to come at a significant toll on our family unit.

No one ever thinks horrible things will happen to them until they are humbled by such a frightening situation.

We are especially grateful his injuries are nowhere near what they could have been and humbled that we realize we will need help during this recovery period
