Dear Friends and Families,

My name is KaLia Lor, and I’m a sister to Vong Lor. He is a brother to Pang Hnia Lor, Fong Lor, Pang Cha Lor, Pang Voua Lor, and Kac Lor. He has 13 nieces and nephews that really love him so much. I’m doing this GoFundMe page to help my brother Vong pay for his medical expenses, gas, and his bills. In 2022, my brother Vong Lor had rectal cancer. Rectal cancer is a type of cancer that forms in the innermost lining of the rectum, called the mucosa. It's often slow-growing and usually starts as a clump of abnormal cells called an adenoma. Over time, the tumor can invade the rectal wall and spread to the lymph nodes, blood vessels, and eventually distant organs like the liver. The cancer doctor told us that he is at stage 4 of his cancer condition. He lost his wife in 2019 to COVID and became a depressed person. We lost both of our parents at a young age to cancer. He loved his job as a plumber and was thinking about going back to school to be a professional plumber. We have been going through a lot of his doctor appointments, treatment, and surgery in the past couple of months. He has seen a cancer doctor and received treatment in Rochester, MN, and Marshall, MN. In June 2024, he had surgery to remove the tumor from his rectum and had a temporary stoma bag. At the end of November 2024, my brother Vong will go back to do another surgery to convert everything back inside. After that, he will be checked in once a month to see his cancer doctor and make sure that everything is going well. We are hoping that everything will go very well and be done with this craziness going back and forth from Rochester, MN to home. He is trying so hard to do his best to fight out the cancer!

My brother is a kind, dependable, and loving person. All he has is his siblings to support him through this difficult time. We love him so much that we are here to support him at this moment as much as we can. There’s nothing quite like the bond between siblings. Through laughter, tears, and every moment in between, siblings provide unwavering love and support that lasts a lifetime. Whether they're a constant companion or a guiding light, siblings hold a unique place in our hearts, offering strength when we need it most. We don’t ask for much!
