: I became aware of a collaborative community project involving the City of Omaha, Theeshold CoC, HEAL Omaha, Together, and other partners. They are working with residents of a homeless encampment to get all the people there housed within the next few weeks. 5 of the residents of this encampment have dogs. These dogs spend 24/7 serving their people, and deserve the highest standard of care our community is able to provide. Assisting these dogs to get vaccinated, licensed, and additional vet care will be essential in keeping people connected to their pets, getting both the people and the dogs connected to stable housing. Funds will be used to pay for vet bills for these dogs, as well as license fees. If money is raised beyond what is required for these dogs, it will be used to provide care for other dogs in the community in similar circumstances.
