Hi, I am Uthar,

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in July of 2025. Needless to say, I am still pretty much in shock, but I am moving forward with doctor appointments, procedures, and treatments. I have a long way to go to beat this, which I am trying to make happen no matter what. Accomplishing this takes a lot of patience and a lot of trips to the Ohio State University hospital for appointments, procedures, and treatments, plus aftercare when it is all done. Unfortunately, we lost our car over two years ago and have never been able to replace it. I am retired and only have Social Security as a monthly income, which isn't much. My partner is disabled and on SSI, and our roommate for the past 11 years is also disabled and on SSDI. It takes all three of our incomes to make it through each month, with little to spare for other things we need, but we do our best to make it. We are forced to use Uber to go anywhere, which is usually only to our pharmacy to pick up medicines we are each on. We have groceries delivered, which is a blessing in and of itself. Otherwise, we stay home in our small apartment most days.

This is the reason I am starting this GoFundMe. To be able to afford all of the very expensive Uber trips that we need to take now to make sure I get the treatment I need and can beat this cancer. Any help would be greatly appreciated and put to good use to help us deal with what I am going through and will be going through. I know there are a lot of amazingly generous people out there that might see fit to help me with this, and for that, I am grateful. Thank you for reading this and bless you if you can help.
