Tyson Daugharty's Heart Surgery and Recovery

We’re reaching out to family, friends, and anyone with a compassionate heart to help support my brother in law, Tyson Daugharty, a dedicated husband, father of four young kids, and a committed police officer in training, as he faces a challenging health battle. Tyson was recently diagnosed with severe heart blockages after having a heart attack scare this weekend, and his doctors have recommended an urgent quadruple bypass surgery. While we’re relieved he can get the care he needs, the road to recovery will be long, and he’ll be unable to work for at least four weeks as he heals from this very serious surgery.

Just two months ago, Tyson and his wife MaryAnn welcomed a new baby, and he used up his sick pay to be by his wife’s side and help with their growing family. Now, with no remaining paid leave and mounting medical bills, Tyson and his family are facing financial hardship. Tyson has always worked hard to provide for his family and train for a career where he can serve and protect others. The sheriffs office has been very gracious through everything and Tyson is so grateful for them and his job. However, the unexpected nature of this health crisis means they’re struggling to cover the costs of daily expenses, as well as ongoing medical care.
