On Thursday, May 29, 2025, our world was turned upside down.

Tyler, the love of my life for the past 11 years and the most incredible daddy to our three children (ages 6, 7, and 13) suffered a catastrophic fall at work, plunging 25–30 feet through a roof and landing on concrete.

He sustained a crushed C5 vertebra, a subdural brain bleed, and a severe spinal cord injury that has left him paralyzed from just below the shoulders down.

Since the accident, he has undergone spinal fusion surgery with a rod placement, as well as a corpectomy (a procedure where part of the vertebra (the bone in the spine) is removed to take pressure off the spinal cord) and he is currently on a ventilator, recently received a tracheotomy, and is being fed through a tube. His road to recovery is uncertain, but one thing is clear, he and his family will need support in every possible way.

Our three children and I are now facing overwhelming changes and a long road ahead, with many long-term needs, including:

* A wheelchair-accessible vehicle with a lift

* A new, fully accessible home or major renovations

* A ramp and mobility equipment

* Ongoing inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation

* Full-time in-home care and medical equipment

* Daily living expenses and bills

* Support for our kids during this major life transition
