We are a group of college students starting our own theatre company, Trout Theatre, and this August we will be producing our first full theatrical production, Tartuffe. Our goal is to contribute to the rich theatre scene of Milwaukee, and we'd like to put forth quality theatre that will add to the theatre community that we love.
The money donated will be put towards doing just that. Our production of Tartuffe will be set in the modern day, and as the director, I am hoping to revitalize this classic play through a modern lens. Alongside its hilarious comedic writing Tartuffe has an incredible message about deception, manipulation, compassion, and how family is important above all else. We aim to help this topical and touching 350 year old story be as accessible and enjoyable for modern audiences as it can be. We hope you’ll consider donating to help us make this project something incredible.
