Shelby Mowbray experienced every dog owner's nightmare this week. On Monday, 10/28/24, her beloved whippets, Mascott and Trip, somehow escaped their yard. Unfortunately, Mascott was hit by a car and didn't make it, leaving Shelby heartbroken.

Trip was still missing so while she is mourning the loss of Mascott, we tried to keep Shelby focused on staying positive for Trip.

Our dog community has been beyond amazing and with the help of our village, we hired a thermal pet drone pilot and had a trapper as well as a BIS on standby.

Fortunately, Trip was found Wednesday 10/30/24, BUT he is severely injured. He has a compound fracture and spent the night at Summit Veterinary Referral Center then to Veterinary Surgical Center as of 10/31/24 for care.
