Hello friends, family and caring, understanding like minded folks near and far. My name is Kerbi Brown and I’ve started this “GoFundMe” on my husbands, Louis Trent Brown III’ behalf. I’ve created this gofundme to raise funds to purchase and have trained a new service dog for him. On Valentines Day, February 14, 2023, he lost his service dog of 13 years, Maya Reese to cancer, oddly enough.. She was a great companion and attended to his every need. Having multiple, some debilitating diagnoses, his Service Dog requires extensive training over the span of a full year. Service dogs are highly trained and essential companions for individuals with disabilities, playing a crucial role in enhancing their independence, safety, and overall well-being. These dogs are not merely pets; they are working animals specifically trained to perform tasks that mitigate the effects of their handler's disability. He has been without a service dog companion for 2 years and it has been a struggle with the many health issues that he has. He recently conquered cancer yet his other medical issues remain. At a total cost of over $17,000, your contribution will greatly assist in our effort to replace (though he says there is no replacement for Maya) her and continue to help him have a better quality of life. Thank you in advance for your donations.

Service dogs undergo extensive training tailored to the specific needs of their handlers, supporting a wide range of physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, and other mental health disabilities.

As he continues this difficult journey of healing from cancer treatment and living with many other health issues, a service dog will provide assistance with his daily tasks, emotional support, and significantly improve his independence and confidence.

Thank you for your support.
May God bless you. ❤️
