My name is Tonya. I'm needing help so I can continue my treatment of a MRSA infection on my eardrum and the mastoid bone behind it. MRSA is a bacteria that is resistant to many antibiotics. I've already had 10 weeks of heavy IV antibiotic infusion treatments. The infection ate a hole in my eardrum, leaving only about 50% of it intact. It also completely disfigured the mastoid bone behind the eardrum. After treatments were completed, they thought the infection was gone and I was free and clear. About 2 1/2 weeks after my PICC line was removed and treatments ended, all the symptoms came back but worse. The pain is relentless, the drainage is constant and foul, the dizziness is making me fall almost daily, and the depression is very real. The doctors are now saying that I have to do treatments all over again and then immediately after have a surgery to basically remove my eardrum and the mastoid bone behind it. The surgery is called a tympanomastoidectomy.

The ONLY insurance I have at the moment is Medicare, and they do not cover that much at all. I'm having to pay out of pocket for the prescriptions, co-pays, IV meds, and transportation to and from everything. And the treatments are 5-7 days a week.

I greatly appreciate any and all help because I absolutely cannot do this without help.

The money will be used to get a PICC line IV inserted, start IV antibiotic fusion treatments that are 5 days a week, buy spacial meal replacement shakes because I have a REALLY hard time eating anything while doing treatments, cover all extra medications, and pay co-pays to Dr's and infusion clinic.
