Tony Smith's Life-Saving Heart Transplant
Donation protected
Friends and family,
We are reaching out today with a heavy heart to ask for your help for our beloved Tony Smith, a 39-year-old husband, father, and hardworking self-employed Excavation Contractor. Tony has always been the kind of person who would drop everything to help others, whether it was offering a hand on a project or lending an ear to someone in need. But now, it’s his turn to ask for help.
A couple years ago, Tony was diagnosed with a serious heart condition, Genetic Cardiomyopathy. As years progressed, Tony’s heart began to deteriorate. On February 22nd, 2025, Tony’s condition worsened and required him to reside in the ICU until a new heart became available. Despite his unwavering strength and determination, his heart is no longer functioning as it should.
As the sole provider for his family, Tony has always worked tirelessly to support his wife, Grace, and their two young children, Caleb and Owen. He owns and operates his own excavating and heavy equipment business, as well as selling machinery around the region. Both business endeavors require handling a tough physical work day in and day out. He’s built his life through hard work, dedication, and an unbreakable spirit, but now he is facing a battle that requires more than he can do alone.
When Tony is not digging foundations, or selling bulldozers, he enjoys the outdoors. Tony spends his winters riding snowmobiles with Grace and the boys, as well as skiing with his relatives throughout the Laurel Highlands. During the spring and summer months, the family spends time on their boat at Yough Lake and camping in National Parks. When there is free time, he is watching his boys play sports, and molding them into young men. None of these activities are possible without the backbreaking work that Tony does to provide for his family.
The cost of the transplant, the hospital bills, and the ongoing medical expenses are overwhelming. On top of that, Tony will need to take time off work for the procedure, recovery, and post-transplant care, which puts an additional strain on his family’s finances. The spring and summer months are especially busy for Tony’s businesses, forcing him to miss out on valuable financial opportunities to support his family.
How You Can Help?
We are asking for your help to raise funds to cover the medical costs and ensure that Tony & Grace can focus on healing and getting back to his family without the constant worry of mounting bills. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others would mean the world to us as well.
Tony has always been the first to lend a hand, and now it’s our chance to help him when he needs it most. We are incredibly grateful for any support you can provide during this difficult time.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, love, and generosity. Together, we can support this family while Tony awaits the heart transplant he desperately needs.
