Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are reaching out to share the incredible story of Tom, a man who has faced unimaginable challenges but continues to display unwavering resilience. Through all the hardship, we believe that God has a bigger plan for him, and he is a living testament to the power of will and faith.

Tom’s journey began with great promise. He had walked onto the Cuesta College baseball team in San Luis Obispo and was looking forward to an exciting season ahead. Tragically, on the way back to school with five teammates, the vehicle he was driving was involved in a devastating head-on collision. While his teammates sustained injuries, Tom was ejected from the vehicle and hit the pavement face-first. He was in critical condition with multiple broken bones and required extensive reconstructive surgeries to his face, followed by intense physical therapy.

After many months of painful recovery, Tom managed to return to college and even attempted to get back on the baseball field. Unfortunately, the toll on his body from the accident proved to be too much, and his dream of playing baseball was no longer possible.

Despite this setback, Tom found joy in his family. He married and had two wonderful sons, with whom he shared his love of sports. As his boys grew older, they followed their own paths and ventured out to chase their dreams. But as life’s challenges continued, Tom went through a difficult divorce and has been living alone since.

Fast forward to March 19, 2025. Tom’s sons, unable to reach him for several days and concerned after he missed an important work meeting, called the police for a wellness check. When officers arrived, they were unable to get a response, but through a slightly open window, they could see Tom lying on the floor. After a closer inspection, they determined that Tom was experiencing a medical emergency. His sister, who lives two hours away, rushed to his side after being notified of the situation. Tom was quickly rushed to the hospital by ambulance.

When Tom regained consciousness, he shared with his sons that he had been feeling unwell and attempted to stand up to call for help, but he couldn’t make it to the phone. He had been lying there for five days, unable to move. He could hear people outside and the knock on his door but could not respond. The doctors later confirmed that Tom had suffered both a heart attack and a stroke, and was severely dehydrated. By all accounts, Tom’s survival is nothing short of a miracle.

Though Tom’s recovery will be long and arduous, we believe that God is not done with him yet. However, the mounting medical bills have become a significant burden, and that is why we are reaching out to you today. We are fundraising to help cover Tom’s medical expenses and to support him on his recovery journey. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a profound impact on Tom’s healing and provide him with the necessary resources during this critical time.

We humbly ask for your generosity, prayers, and support. Your contribution will not only help with medical bills but also give Tom the strength and encouragement he needs to continue his fight toward recovery.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, prayers, and support. Together, we can help Tom on this next chapter of his extraordinary journey.

Sincerely
