Help Toby in his Fight Against Glioblastoma

On May 28th, 2024, Toby Fast suffered a seizure while at work. This led to the discovery of a large tumor in his brain, which was causing pressure leading to this seizure. On May 31st, Toby was put into emergency resection surgery. After surgery, doctors were able to do a biopsy in which it was determined that Toby was suffering from a Glioblastoma, stage IV brain cancer.

After surgery, Toby sadly developed an infection and was submitted to a second surgery on June 21st.

As of July 16th, Toby has started treatment with chemo and radiation and in September will move on to treatment in Boston for more advanced care. This will involve around 5 hours daily, just in driving.

Toby is an otherwise healthy 51-year-old man so this course of events comes as a complete shock to both himself, as well as his family and friends - especially his dear wife Olivia.

Those who know Toby, know him to be a hardworking and intelligent individual. Toby has spent years donating much of his personal time, talents, and funds towards his ministry and helping others, which has been his passion in life. He has also been working in the construction field for the past 30 years, and has done a beautiful job at caring for the needs of himself and his wife through his construction and handyman business. Prior to this event and currently, their family has been a single income family with Toby being the only one working secularly. Unfortunately, with recent circumstances, Toby is no longer able to work secularly for the next year or longer. The inability to work comes as an added stress to an already distressing situation, as there is currently no income.

Toby has fought on through these events with bravery and faith. We want to show Toby and Olivia that they are not alone as they go through this. While we can't completely take away the stress Toby and Olivia are facing with this situation, we hope to lighten the load as much as possible. We want to show our love and support for them as they face medical bills, travel expenses for treatment, and the daily needs of life.
