PURPOSE OF FUNDS
To help with the construction cost of the first building of my school, The New Visionary Traditional and Technical School (TNVTTS).
- The school is in Barnesville, part of Greater Monrovia, Liberia.
The building will have six classrooms, a wing containing the main office and teacher lounge, a wing containing the students' common area, an atrium, and restrooms for students and adults. I want my students to be in modern buildings that will make them comfortable, enjoy learning, and bring out their creativity.
I have completed the business plan and secured five acres of land, which I will expand soon. I plan to begin construction on March 30, 2024, and open school on August 12, 2024.
GREETINGS
My name is Togbah Wleh, and I am originally from Liberia, West Africa. Though poor and destabilized, the country and region are rich in tradition and welcoming with the smiles and charm of its beautiful people. I am an educator who teaches regular and adult secondary school in Boston. Throughout my education, I have had a penchant for knowledge and an unconditional passion for educating and bettering the African people. When I succeed in getting this first project off the ground, I aspire to establish institutions of learning such as schools, libraries, museums, colleges and universities, and community centers. This will help bolster the academic standing of those in my community who deserve access to quality education but lack the resources to realize those dreams.
I have experienced too many setbacks, yet I hope for success in the future. Beginning in 2015, I visited libraries throughout Boston, collected free books, and purchased more at Goodwill. The plan was to gather enough books, save money, and ship them to Liberia. I have been a proud, small man with a big plan all my life, only to realize I had made an immense mistake. Due to a lack of financial resources and knowledge, I could not ship the books to Liberia or store them under proper conditions. This led to the accumulation of over 800 books in the small room I rented. My realization left me heartbroken; my love for change has created a safety and health concern for my roommate and myself. Since the stack of books became a perfect breeding place, they invited mice. Deeply disappointed, I donated over 600 books to Goodwill, threw some into the garbage, and gave some away to whoever would take them.
THE TNVTTS VISION
With The New Visionary Traditional and Technical School (TNVTTS), I aim to provide individualized academic and technical education, from childcare to the secondary level. While students work towards completing their general academic diploma, they will complete two required technical certificates and participate in the school's agricultural initiatives. In addition, I aim to provide evening, adult, secondary, and technical education and a special education program.
The TNVTTS priority is efficiency and self-sufficiency and to stand out among our competitors in providing quality experiences for our students, parents, and staff. This means that we will strive to provide low-cost quality education and run agricultural programs that enable us to provide meals for our students.
- TNVTTS will incorporate academic and technical education, employment opportunities, and social and emotional well-being and nurture students' creativity. We will instill love and respect for our African heritage and culture, teach them leadership skills, and guide them to become humble and honorable.
- TNVTTS will provide a variety of sports and other extracurricular activities: fun, games, debates, community services, and others related and unrelated to traditional academics.
- Since students cannot learn on an empty stomach, we will strive through the TNVTTS agriculture programs to provide breakfast and lunch to our students.
- TNVTTS will strive to help students build a growth mindset through mindfulness activities to build high self-efficacy to become self-confident and self-respected gentlemen and women in the real world.
The TNVTTS curriculum will include a modified Liberian national academic curriculum to fit within the TNVTTS core values and vision for prescribing and providing a traditional, modern, socially, and technically based educational experience that prepares students to function in the world beyond the classroom. We will integrate rigorous academics with work-based learning opportunities and expectations, including projects to support students in achieving defined objectives.
I appreciate your time, consideration, and support in achieving a long-held dream to make an impact in my community.
Thank you very much!

Planning the TNVTTS Building, Building #1

January 16, 2024
This is the current development of the blueprint for the TNVTTS Building 1. There are two major errors: 1) the upper left wing is much shorter than intended, and 2) there are too many columns in the front atrium. Upon completing this piece, I will send it to the engineering team. They will computerize and improve it.

January 20, 2024
I have finally completed the Floor Plan/Blue Print. I will submit a printed copy to the architect or engineering team to computerize and improve it. Once completed, they will send me a Floor Plan/Blue Print book. I will post the link ASAP.
