Hello, my name is Marian & I am writing this for my uncle's wife, Tina. My Uncle Tony & his beautiful wife have been married for 6 years & have a beautiful 5-year-old daughter, Olivia. Tina is the most amazing human being I have ever met & lights up the room when she walks in. She became part of this family the first time we met her & is always going above & beyond for us.

3 years ago is when they found out the most devastating news. Her face was very swollen; she went in to drain a lymph node. The doctor looked at her & told her, "You have cancer." Tina looked at him and said, "Yeah right, you're too young. Find me someone that knows what they are talking about." The doctor said, "We will have to do a CT scan to make sure, but I know you have it." The CT scan showed that she does have BC lymphoma. She couldn't wrap her head around this. If that wasn't bad enough, she has been diagnosed with 2 other cancers: Hodgkin's & non-Hodgkin's. She has been in the hospital for over a year doing rounds of chemo & physical therapy. She has had 4 back surgeries & has lost mobility in one of her legs due to one of the surgeries. A blood clot almost took her life. All of this & Tina has a strong positive attitude towards life.

As you all can imagine, this has been very difficult for them. Tina's parents live in Grand Rapids & Tina's daughter, Olivia, is currently living with them. Tony's job is here, so he commutes back & forth to see Tina & Olivia. If things weren't bad enough, Tony got fired from his job & he was unemployed for about a month and a half. He did find a job & he is now currently working, but the time he was off really affected them a lot. From hospital bills, house bills, & the 2-hour commute to Grand Rapids, everything is piling up for them.
