This is my nephew Tim Cossairt. Im helping him and Shelly with this GOFUNDME. Heres whats going on

Tim went to er on 10/11/2025 with severe ear pain think ear needed flushed... upon examination dr could see huge mass on his throat. Immediately did CT scan confirming large tumor... he was transferred to hospital in Orlando where biopsies plus several test done for diagnosis. Test confirmed Squamous cell carcinoma stage 4 its a very aggressive cancer. In 1 month it has grown from 4.7 cm to 5.1 cm which is a little bigger than golf ball size. The tumor is pushing into nerves in right ear causing severe pain, its is in several lymph nodes completely covering entire right tonsil, pushing against jugular and carotid artery, its against back of tongue on palate now on uvula that hangs down in back of throat tumor now covering over midway across his throat. Talking is painful eating foods is becoming more difficult. On 11/1/2025 he stopped eating and drinking became very nauseous and memory distorted was admitted to hospital he had become very dehydrated to point scan showed damage to kidney (he only has one due to kidney cancer in 2022). They Immediately started pushing iv fluids and decided he needed a feeding tube. Once hydrated kidney bounced back no damage... he has gone from stage 2 to 4 since diagnosis 1 month ago. Due to the severity of tumor, complications and pain he hasn't worked since 10/11/2025, they dr said he will be off work at least 1 yr depending on outcome... Dr mentioned may have to do trach once treatments start because swallowing and swelling are very possible... Because of only having one kidney they are having to change the type of chemo treatment to protect his kidney they have to protect his kidney at all cost so limits him on what medications pain meds etc they can give him... he start chemo and radiation Monday November 17 for 7 weeks.. chemo once a week radiation 5 days a week. In the meantime time have to keep close eye on his breathing cause his airway has narrowed in past month. He has had a pretty rough time since diagnosis., dr told us its going to get much worse when treatments start. They're hope tumor will respond to treatments but its a wait and see situation since tumor is so large.

The facts are he has cancer going to be long road ahead dr put him out of work for a yr... the bills are coming in and were out of money ... he will be getting short term disability but insurance taxes etc come out of it before he even sees check and it wont be enough to pay bills, medications nor medical bills nor groceries

The cancer has metastized now in lymph nodes on left side of throat as well as 4 cancer spots on lungs... will have at least 2 yrs of immunotherapy after all chemo n radiation treatments are done which will be determined by next pet scan
