Please Share Tim’s Story!! So, I really haven't put this completely out publicly. My husband of 18 years, Timothy Richards, is very, very sick. He was diagnosed with end-stage liver failure 6 months ago. They say he has 3 months left, but we hold out hope because only God knows what day he will go home to our Lord and Savior. But I had to quit my job to stay home and care for him as he requires 24/7 around-the-clock care.
On October 31, I found him at 6:30 am unresponsive. He had been on hospice for 2 days at this time. I called 911, and he was rushed to Ruby Memorial Hospital, in Morgantown WV where we still are to this very day. I refuse to leave his side. They wanted me to take him home and let him go when we arrived, but I will never give up. After I told them that would never happen, he woke up 2 hours later. He had gone septic from MRSA in his bloodstream. After 9 days of antibiotics, he had fought it off and walked 500 ft with no help for the first time in nearly 3 months. That night, he turned yellow and swelled up in his stomach; Another infection had taken over.
He had an accident months back that left him with a huge bruise down his ribs to his hips. The blood never dried and moved towards his kidneys and in his back. So he had to have surgery to have a drain hose put in his hip, which, as delicate as he is, has lots of risks. But without it, we would lose him very fast. It went well, though. We have drained 4 liters of infection in the last 3 days with 2 blood transfusions. He has slept most of those days and is very confused and disoriented when awake. He wants to go home where he is comfortable, and I told the hospital his wishes to go. So, after the drain comes out, I get to take him there. They say by Monday. His white blood cell count is improving, and his CRP also. The confusion is normal with liver failure. Pray we can get him through 3 more months to be approved for a transplant, as it is our only option.
With that being said, I know it is a very hard time at the moment for everyone. But if anyone would like to donate to help me get through this since I cannot work at the moment, any donations will help greatly. I just haven't been able to leave him to work. As we don't live near family and I can't afford a caretaker. I also don't want to leave him. I have worked my entire life, and I have too much pride to ask for help or take from others. But now everything is at risk of termination, and thank the Lord our lien holder on our mortgage are wonderful people, or we would lose our home as well. All donations will be used on bills, mortgage, and the main Necessities. Please help us in our time of need, even with just your shares and prayers, as they are much needed.
