This is something I never thought we would need to do. Kim was diagnosed with stage 3B lung cancer on November 6th. Her doctor decided to take an aggressive approach so she could have a normal life. Everything went well with chemo and radiation, and the cancer shrunk.

Fast forward to April 6th, and Kim found out her lung was filling with fluid. Tests came back that the fluid is cancer, and now she is at stage 4.

Now, as for me, I went in on March 19th for a left knee scope. That went well, and recovery was going great until April 3rd when I just moved my left leg, and I broke my femur in half. After having a CT scan, they saw my right femur was about to break also, so I had a rod put in each leg within 3 days. After getting a bone marrow biopsy, I found out I have multiple myeloma. So now we are both fighting cancer and off of work, but at least I'm getting short-term disability; however, Kim is still trying to get hers.

This has been the most difficult thing we have ever gone through. What makes it hard is we struggle to take care of each other now. We do have a great support group around us, and we can't thank them enough. If you can help even a little, that would be greatly appreciated; if not, that's okay too.
