As many of you already know, Tiger has been diagnosed with stage 4B small cell lung cancer.
On December 17th, he visited the doctor due to pain in his side and chest. An X-ray revealed a 10.2 cm mass, though its exact nature was initially unknown. Further testing, including a biopsy, was scheduled, and it was also discovered that he had fluid around his heart.
On January 3rd, he was referred to a cardiologist, who immediately sent him to the hospital for further evaluation. He was subsequently diagnosed with constrictive pericarditis and stage 4B small cell lung cancer. The cancer had spread to his liver, lungs, lymph nodes, and brain, and the mass had grown to 11.2 cm.
On January 9th, he was fitted for a radiation mask and received chest support to prepare for radiation and chemotherapy. Unfortunately, he experienced atrial fibrillation (AFib), which delayed the start of his treatment and resulted in a nearly three-week hospital stay.
Tiger is now home and has completed his first round of radiation. We are hopeful that he can begin chemotherapy on February 3rd. He has a long road to recovery, and as many of you know, battling cancer is both physically and financially overwhelming. As the primary provider for his family, this diagnosis has placed an immense burden on them.
We are asking for any financial support to help ease this burden so Tiger can focus on his recovery. If you are unable to contribute financially, we kindly ask that you share this message, keep him in your prayers, and continue to support him during this difficult time. Thank you.
