Tiffany's Recovery and Family Support

Hey, my name is Tiffany and this is my beautiful family. Please read my story all the way through.

On November 2nd, my husband made me go to the hospital because I hadn't been able to use my left side of my body, nor put any weight on my left leg for 2 days. When I got to the hospital, after an MRI, I was transferred straight to Spartanburg Regional to have emergency surgery on my lower back due to a huge bulging disc pushing against my nerves. By this time, my husband had been out of work going on 3 weeks.

I stayed 4 days in the hospital after surgery, and when I came home, I felt something wasn't right. I was having the worst headaches that I have ever had in my life, causing confusion, making me unable to put together sentences, and causing blurry vision. I still was not able to use my left arm nor leg very well. I would get the most burning pain in my leg like somebody was holding a torch to it, and I dropped everything I tried to pick up with my left hand.

Fast forward to a couple of days ago when I was admitted back into the hospital for complications due to my back surgery. The pain I was having was unbearable. I couldn't pick anything up with my left hand without dropping it. My doctor asked the surgeon prior to my surgery to please do an MRI on my neck, but he just brushed it off and said, "Oh, the back is the issue." So my doctor put in a stat MRI of my neck and called me in today for an early visit. As soon as I got there and I saw the look on his face, I knew it wasn't going to be good news. My doctor, who is the best doctor there is and actually cares for his patients, told me that I was going to have to have surgery as soon as possible. They are going to have to put a plate and screws in my neck to help hold it in the right direction. And my husband's been out of work a month and will be out of work for at least 6 more months.

Our bills are piling up, our kids are needing things, and I lost my job. I have no family to help me financially. I've been praying about posting a GoFundMe for about 3 weeks now, and I keep coming back to the same thing: there's nobody going to help me in my family. We're just a normal family. I've seen families raise thousands and thousands of dollars on here, but I don't honestly think my story would touch anyone. Right now, I'm supposed to be in a wheelchair, yet I blame all of this on myself. If I didn't have all this go wrong with me, my husband could work. This was not easy at all to put my story out here. God knows we are struggling, God knows my kids need things. God definitely knows we are behind on rent and everything else. Please find it in your heart to donate. Thank you and God bless y'all!!!
