Overview: Our friend Tiffany needs our help. She was diagnosed with a medical condition that required serious surgery and a long stay in a hospital. While she's gotten through the surgery it will require her to go through a road to recovery and physical therapy. She was just about to start a new job when all this happened and needs our support as she gets through these challenging times in her life.

Tiffany has always been there for others and now is a chance for those who care for her to be there for her. Please consider making a generous donation - knowing it will come back to you with gratitude and abundance in the future.

The details below paints a clearer picture of the incredibly challenging ordeal Tiffany has been through. The timeline and the specifics of her diagnosis and treatment highlight the severity of her condition and the significant disruption it has caused to her life.
Here's a refined summary to understand her situation and needs:

Tiffany's Story:

Tiffany experienced debilitating headaches, neck pain, and nausea for a week before going to the ER in mid February . What initially seemed like a severe headache has turned into a complex medical journey.

For nearly two months, Tiffany has been unable to stand for more than a couple of minutes due to excruciating pain caused by a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak. This leak is the result of a bone spur puncturing the dura, the membrane surrounding her spinal cord.

Extensive testing, including multiple CT scans and MRIs (including a full spinal MRI), revealed pooling CSF and a suspected meningioma brain tumor growing into and eroding her skull bone tissue. While the possibility of needing a titanium plate for skull repair exists, Tiffany remains focused on the immediate challenges.

Attempts to repair the CSF leak through a lumbar puncture blood patch and a thoracic directed blood patch were unsuccessful. This led to transfers to Washington Medical Center and ultimately to Georgetown University Hospital, where she is now under the care of a specialist in spontaneous CSF leaks. A myelogram confirmed the bone puncture.

Tiffany underwent spinal surgery on Friday, March 14th, to remove the offending bone spur and repair the CSF leak. Her recovery from this spinal surgery is estimated to be six weeks before she can begin to address the brain tumor.

Adding to the difficulty, Tiffany was unable to start a new job on March 10th due to her hospitalization and subsequent transfer to Washington D.C.

Despite these significant health challenges and the disappointment of missing her new job opportunity, Tiffany has maintained a positive attitude, focusing on being present and connecting with those around her.

Understanding Tiffany's Needs:

Unable to work: She has been out of work for nearly two months. She will be unable to work for the extensive recovery period following this spinal surgery, then time for surgery to remove the brain tumor, and recovery from that surgery also. This significantly impacts her income and ability to pay her bills.

Significant medical expenses: She has undergone numerous tests, procedures, and a major surgery, with more potential procedures (addressing the brain tumor) in the future. This will undoubtedly lead to substantial medical bills.

Loss of new job opportunity: The inability to start her new job means she doesn't have the financial security that position would have provided.

Ongoing medical needs: Her recovery from spinal surgery will take time, and she will eventually need to address the brain tumor, implying further medical procedures and potential time away from work.

Positive but vulnerable: While her positive attitude is admirable, it doesn't negate the very real financial and practical challenges she faces.

Thank you for your kindness and consideration to help Tiffany, and please share this story with friends who you think may want to know and also support her through this journey.
