*** Update On Thomas he was admitted to the hospital 10 days ago for bone infection that spread to his neck he just got home today and is still IV antibiotics at home for 6 weeks we are bound and determined he is going to get over this hump too just wanted to give an update and thank you to those that have donated ***** My name is Jennifer Sargent and I am creating this fundraiser for this man, the love of my life, Thomas Strickland. About a year ago he broke his big toe on right foot it got infected and was amputated he did ok for a little bit was able to go back to work for about a month he is a truck driver so this being his right foot it was pretty rough on him 6 months later this past December to be exact his foot kept swelling with pain and he ended up with a pressure point on the bottom of his foot that was infected as well so the day after Christmas the decision was made to amputate whole right foot he agreed after confirming with DOT he would still be able to work as long as it was below the knee and he had prosthetic. He's been fighting this for a year now so now we are to the point of getting a prosthetic. And insurance is paying a portion of it. He hasn't been able to work in over a year and I lost my job in the process due to having to take off too much to help him. We had savings put back and have lived on that for the last 6 months, but we have now gone through savings, having to move, him fighting just to get his leg. His goal is to be back at work ASAP; he is a truck driver, so just got to get clearance. This man would give up his other leg to help others and not ask anything in return. We have no way of paying rent or utilities this month and every little bit would be a blessing. Feel free to share this with others again we are thankful for anything .
