Donate to the World's First FLYING PIG PARADE.

We need your help to make history. You can support the funding of the World’s First FLYING PIG PARADE in Gainesville, Florida! Planning is now underway to produce a spectacular event celebrating all that is weird, wild, and wonderful about “Hogtown” (Gainesville’s original name). It’ll also poke fun at all the strange things we experienced this year.

We’re creating something similar to the King Mango Strut, a parade that has generated cascades of laughter in Coconut Grove, Florida, since 1982. Its co-founder, Glenn Terry, now lives in Gainesville and he and his prankster friends are working to bring fresh magic to this college town.

To do it (legally) we need funding. Hard cash is necessary to rent barricades, hire police officers, purchase event insurance, and a dozen other things. If 400 fun-loving parade fans contribute $20 each we’ve got it made. If you send five bucks, that helps too.

It’ll be money well spent. On December 30th, at 2 p.m. we'll launch what will become G’ville’s most amazing, iconic, annual event.

Our Flying Pig Parade will be impossibly cute and enormous fun for both participants and spectators. As we experience record-breaking temperatures and outlandish election campaigns, we need a good laugh… a humongous laugh. A sassy and satirical processional led by smiling swine can do just that.

Anyone can be in the parade as long as they are colorful and entertaining -think costumes, dancing, music, and theatrical performances. Giant puppets will engage and inspire. Presidential contenders will fight with pillows and happy fish will gush about sea level rise (their motto, “You can’t have too much water!").

The Flying Pig Parade will become a big part of our city’s New Year’s celebration if we can raise the money to fund it. We've already received some of the funding through grants and donations. Our GoFundMe campaign goal is $8000.
