Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out today on behalf of an incredible family who could really use our love and support right now — the Washer family.
On April 17th, their dad, Mike Washer — a devoted husband, loving father of four, and truly one of the kindest people you'll ever meet — started feeling sick. At first, it seemed like a normal illness. But as the days went by, his condition got much worse. He lost the ability to walk, couldn't eat or drink, and started showing severe discoloration in his hips, arms, legs, and stomach. True to his strong and stubborn nature, Mike kept refusing to go to the doctor, thinking he would get better on his own.
On Tuesday night, everything changed. Mike collapsed at home, unable to stand, and his wife Mandy and their child had to call an ambulance. When he arrived at the hospital, doctors gave the heartbreaking news: Mike’s body was shutting down. His oxygen level was dangerously low at only 50%, and his body temperature had dropped to 91 degrees.
He’s now on a ventilator and fighting for his life. His kidneys are failing, and the doctors are still working hard to figure out exactly what’s causing his body to shut down.
This has been an overwhelming, heartbreaking time for the Washer family.
A few years ago, Mike survived a devastating motorcycle accident that left him unable to work. Mandy had been working at Vessels to help support their family, but she had to leave her job to stay home and care for Mike and their four amazing kids — Gracee (15), Gage (14), Waylon (12), and Hunter (10). Even their family dog can feel the heaviness and sadness that's settled over their home.
Now, with mounting medical bills and no income coming in, they need our help more than ever.
If you can donate, pray, or even just share this page, it would mean the world to this sweet, strong family. Every single bit of support matters as they hold on to hope and fight through this unimaginable time.
Please join me in lifting up the Washers in prayer, love, and support.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
