Why do you want to be Miss Delta Chi?

I want to be Miss Delta Chi because I wholeheartedly believe that the fraternity’s mission of promoting friendship, developing character, and advancing justice are especially crucial in our current day and age. Having a close connection with this organization would give me an opportunity to voice opinions and help to advocate for their successes in the future, as well as my own organization’s. I have never done something that is so out of my comfort zone before, and I believe that with the support of everyone around me, it is something that I can achieve. It would help me to grow as a person, as a sister, and as a friend to the amazing brothers of Delta Chi.

What does the Jimmy V foundation mean to you ? It is a Cancer Research foundation to help save children's lives?

Cancer Research is extremely important to me and my family. I currently have a family member who is battling a very aggressive form of cancer, and she has gone into their third relapse as of this year. There are about 18.1 million cancer survivors living in the US, and I will continue to hold onto the fact that she will be one of them. The Jimmy V foundation has raised over $400 million since its founding in 1993, and I believe that it is crucial to continue to keep funding new, cutting edge medical advances within our country. Millions of children are struggling every day with childhood cancer, which is something that no child should ever go through. By supporting the Jimmy V Foundation, we are supporting the lives of children, and working to give them the opportunity to keep living, and it serves as a reminder for us to appreciate what we have in our lives.
