My friend Hugo Castro has a birthday today. He resides in a very unique place in the world- the Corner of Latin America. It is the place where the US/Mexico border wall extends into the ocean. It is a bizarre sight to see, but is very real.

Just across the sand from the wall is a building on that corner which he is trying to develop into a small cultural arts center. It will be a small cafe setting where he will showcase visual and performing artists in support of migrants. He calls it the Undocumented Cafe. I will be sending some of my artwork related to this subject in the coming months to add to the walls.

I have never met anyone like Hugo. He is entirely dedicated to giving his whole heart to supporting migrants.
