My name's Jay Rivera and I've been volunteering in Poland and Ukraine for over 2 years. Fellow volunteers created a Ukrainian charity named "Volunteer Action" in order to start a shelter and rehabilitation center, in Lviv Oblast, for internally displaced people. This refuge is called the Phoenix.

The Phoenix is a cohesive community that strives to become as self-sustainable as possible. By donating you are lighting the rooms, powering the sewing machines and keeping the borscht cooking.

Our rehabilitation programs will allow our residents to reintegrate once the war is won.

The Phoenix provides a long-stay, safe haven to foster the rebirth of hope, support the rebuilding of lives and assist in restoring physical, mental and emotional health both during the war and after Ukrainian victory.

All funds collected will be donated to Volunteer Action to pay for utilities and food at the shelter.
