Supporting the Ortiz Family
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Community,
My name is Gerardo Ortiz, and I am reaching out during an incredibly difficult time for my family. This past summer, we lost my beloved mother after a long battle with cancer. Her absence has left an irreplaceable void in our lives, and as we navigate our grief, my father is doing his best to care for my four siblings and me as a single parent.
Since her passing, life has been a constant struggle. We initially moved to Richardson in hopes of finding a fresh start, but the transition was challenging for my siblings and me, and we eventually returned home. Now, we face mounting bills, difficulty putting food on the table, and the daily necessities that every family requires.
My father works tirelessly to provide for us, but with five children to support, it often feels overwhelming. I am currently a student at Thomas Jefferson High School, where I participate in wrestling and baseball—activities that help me cope with our situation and bring some joy to our lives.
We are reaching out for support during this trying time. Any assistance you can provide would mean the world to us. Your generosity will help us navigate this difficult period and begin to rebuild our lives.
Thank you for your kindness and support. May God bless you all.
