On October 8, 2025, Kyung Hee Yook passed away following a sudden and difficult battle with cancer of unknown primary. She was diagnosed five months earlier one day before her 72nd birthday. Kyung Hee was a loving, funny and bright mother, wife, friend, sister and member of her church community.

Kyung Hee is survived by her husband, Keun Min Yook (육근민); her two daughters, Young Eun and Hannah; her four siblings; and her many nieces and nephews. Though her family finds comfort in the promised hope they will see her again in resurrection, they are also experiencing the bewildering loss of her presence here on earth.
