As many of you know, Kevin's family set up the Kevin Norris #31 Scholarship Fund in 2021 to present to outstanding lacrosse players graduating from Winter Park High School in honor of Kevin. We are hoping to increase our annual giving and present two scholarships this year, one for the boys' team and one for the girls' team. We are reaching out to family and friends who would like to contribute to the #31 Scholarship Award. Recipients of the scholarship are chosen by their coaches for outstanding play, sportsmanship, and academic achievement. Recipients must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Kevin played on the WPHS Lacrosse team from 1997-2000, winning the state championship on the 1999 Wildcat team. His love of lacrosse has inspired our entire family's love for the game. Kevin was the recipient of the Brendan O'Sullivan Award in 2000 for his academic and athletic achievements. He was named to the USA Lacrosse All-American Team two years in a row and received an Academic All-American Award his senior year at Winter Park. Kev went on to play lacrosse for the University of Florida's club team. We lost Kevin in 2016 after he suffered several strokes, he was only 35 years old. We know Kevin would be proud to see us continue his legacy by honoring student-athletes graduating from Winter Park High School.
Thank you for your donations to the Kevin Norris #31 Scholarship Fund.
Sincerely,
The Snyder, Norris, and Bauer families
