Donate to The Gleeson Family Rehabilitation Journey

Donation protected
On the evening of November 29th, my son-in-law, Sean Gleeson, suffered a terrible fall due to having no feeling from the waist down. He was taken to Advent Winter Park Hospital via ambulance and from there transferred to Advent South, where he underwent emergency spinal surgery. Sean had a hemilaminectomy and three large hernias removed from L2, L3, and L4. The surgery went well, and his doctor was hopeful that he would be up and walking the next day; however, that was not the case. Due to the pressure on his spinal cord and severe spinal stenosis he is now classified as a paralyzed spinal cord injury patient with a diagnosis of Cauda equina syndrome. Sean spent 16 days in the hospital and 17 days in inpatient rehabilitation. The final diagnosis this week has deemed Sean as an L4 paraplegic. He is now home with Molly and the boys. They go as a family to PT three times a week and OT twice a week. The tremendous strain financially and emotionally on this beautiful family is heartbreaking. The next steps are obtaining a power wheelchair to regain some independence and having their vehicle altered to transport it. With Sean being the sole financial provider, I am reaching out to ask for donations to help with rent and medical costs. Your love, support, and prayer are GREATLY appreciated.
