The gift of life, give to the Gilpatricks' IVF Journey

Hello, we are Anna and Jacob Gilpatrick.

Jacob and I have been married for two beautiful years. Jacob is currently serving as an active duty soldier in the U.S. Army, and I am incredibly proud to stand beside him in support of his service and commitment to our country. Together, we are navigating the unique joys and challenges that come with military life while holding close a shared dream — to grow our family through IVF.

I was previously a widow before meeting Jacob. In my first marriage, I was blessed with two amazing children. I had decided to have my tubes tied not knowing I'd be suddenly widowed at 27. After the heartbreaking passing of my late husband, I was left to pick up the pieces and to persevere all while believing that my childbearing years and sharing my life with someone were now behind me.

But God, however, had different plans.

I met Jacob, and our love story began — one rooted in faith, healing, and the promise of new beginnings.

Jacob has no biological children of his own, and we long to share in the full journey of parenthood together. He has embraced my children with more love and care than I could of ever dreamed of finding for them again and now we hope to build on the beautiful life we’ve created by bringing a child into the world who reflects our bond, our love, and the hope we carry for the future. We've went through testing, medical procedures, and even a surgery to achieve growing our family. We've found IVF is our best and only path toward that dream, but unfortunately, as many of you know or have gone through yourself, IVF is not only physically and emotionally demanding, it’s also extremely expensive. Our insurance doesn’t cover it leaving Jacob and I to bear a huge financial burden on top of the emotional challenge we're already carrying praying we're able to share a child one day. The cost is significant and outside the reach of our current means as a newer military family.

Despite the challenges in this journey we are remaining hopeful. So many people ask how they can help when things get tough and this is one way that you can make a tangible difference. IVF will bring us one step closer to completing our little family. A dream of creating a life.
