Hi - we are Lisa Platow and Michelle Martin and we have been friends with Devin Funk for years - we met through our sons who are best friends with Devin's oldest son Owen. Devin and her husband Andy are the nicest people you will ever meet and over the years, Devin and her family have gone way above and beyond to help with our sons' high school activities, especially the Souderton Area High School marching band and indoor drumline. Their family has been dealing with medical issues for a while - Devin has several chronic medical problems and her teenage daughter has been struggling for the past few years to get treatment for an as-yet-undiagnosed disorder that gives her debilitating migraines and is causing her to progressively lose her vision.

Last week Devin's husband, Andy, was diagnosed seemingly out of the blue with Stage IV colorectal cancer that has already spread to his liver. Andy is the primary breadwinner since Devin has had her hands full with her daughter's specialist appointments. He is facing an uphill battle -- he is currently recovering from emergency surgery performed last Friday and as soon as he is discharged from the hospital he will require immediate and intense treatment for the cancer. He will not be able to work for the foreseeable future and the family will struggle without his income.
