Donate to the funeral of The Magnet aka Andy

The North East lost our beloved The Magnet (Andy) , a well known and loved regular around the toon. He will be sorely missed but fondly remebered. We would like to help his family give him the send off he deserves and one that reflects the love everyone had for him.

Lesley and his two brothers are absolutely astounded by the outpouring of both grief and the love shown for their brother, Andy.

Lesley told us that unfortunately, their father also sadly passed away 6 months ago . They are blown away by all of our offers to help and so we are raising money to support the family with funeral costs.

This Facebook group ‘The Bigg Market/Quayside 1985/2000’ has over 18k members. If we all donated just £1 we could raise more than enough money to cover the costs and donate the remainder to the Daft as a Brush charity.

Andy would probably have slipped away quietly had this page not happened. I only wish he got the chance to read all of the fabulous memories of him, prior to knowing this sad news.
