Hello Canadian friends!

My name is Lawrie McEwan and I am the founder and director of the Festival Singers Saltillo(FSS), Mexico and we need your help!

We are preparing a very special Christmas concert titled ¨Christmas with Handel and Britten¨ scheduled for December 13th at 8 pm at Ranchito del Rey y Maria Madre Church in Saltillo. This concert will feature an extraordinary ensemble of local musicians, soloists from the ranks of the FSS, members of the Orquesta Filarmónica del Desierto and special guest harpist Betuel Ramirez.

Our vision is to gift Saltillo, a night of profound beauty, hope and cultural richness through the singing of the masterpieces of Georg Friedrich Handel (Messiah Part 1) and Benjamin Britten(Ceremony of Carols), performed with professional quality and free for the entire community.

Your support will help us cover essential costs such as the fees for the musicians and soloists, sound and lighting equipment, posters and promotional materials. We want to ensure that this concert reaches families, young people, music lovers and those who may not often have access to this type of classical or sacred music. Your donation helps us keep the event accesible with free entry and voluntary contributions only.

We aim to raise $2000 which will be mostly used to cover the musicians fees, etc.. If we surpass our fundraising goal any additional funds will support future cultural events.

This concert matters as we try to strengthen the cultural life in Saltillo and offer a high quality artistic experience at no cost and support talented local musicians.
