Donate to the amazing tattooer, Kelly Bertelsen

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

Many people have reached out with a heartfelt plea to lend a hand to our dear friend, Kelly Bertelsen. She has touched so many people’s lives. She’s a talented and passionate tattoo artist who recently experienced a devastating incident during a photoshoot in the desert.

The Incident: During the photoshoot, a full-size single-engine airplane flew way too close, and tragically, its wing tip struck Kelly's head at high speed. By some miraculous twist of fate, her hand was positioned behind her head, adorned with a large ring. This ring acted as an unexpected shield, preventing the wing tip from slicing through her skull. However, her hand that she tattoos with was severely shattered, and she suffered a massive blow to the head that knocked her unconscious and left a deep and extensive wound on her head, requiring over 50 stitches. It is a miracle that she is alive. Tragically, given her injuries, it's currently unknown if she will be able to work as a tattoo artist again.

The Road to Recovery: While we are incredibly grateful for her survival, the road to recovery, total extent of injuries, and aftermath is currently unknown.

Our Legal Pursuit: Kelly and Jake have sought legal representation, and their amazing attorney Ofelia Markarian, Esq., is diligently working on the case. She will be focusing on making sure the case ends with accountability and justice for this horrific incident.
