Hi! My name is Tatiana and I'm excited to share I was accepted into the Fall 2025 London Film School Masters Program—one of the top film schools in the world! I currently live in NYC and will need to move to London, England for the start of the semester on September 15.
I need to prove I can pay for the tuition and cost of living by July 15, 2025. Here's how the funds will be used.
- $10,000 to secure my visa, pay additional international fees, and move abroad.
- $12,000 to secure an apartment. The school does not have dorms. My credit score isn't in the best shape so I'll need to pay 6 months up front.
- $20,000 as buffer funds until I can secure a job when I move to London.
- $80,000 per year (2 year programme). My approved financial aid & Grad Plus Loans don't cover the entire cost of each year.
Cost of living throughout program
My advisor noted in the interview that it will be difficult to work during the program since the schedule is rigorous. Class will be from 10am - 5pm Monday - Friday and actively working on short films each trimester. Plus, add classwork into the mix.
Short Film Funding
Each trimester we produce a short film for our final exam (which are simultaneously submitted to film festivals around the world). This will support funding for my projects to hire actors, book locations etc.
My larger goal is to raise $200K to cover the entirety of my expenses during my 2-year masters program. During undergrad, I had to work full time, while completing multiple internships, on top of coursework. I had to support myself entirely without any help throughout undergrad but I graduated. I'd love to be able to focus on school during my masters program without stressing about how I'm going to pay next months rent.
