بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) says in the holy Quran:
مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِینَ یُنفِقُونَ أَمۡوَ ٰلَهُمۡ فِی سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ أَنۢبَتَتۡ سَبۡعَ سَنَابِلَ فِی كُلِّ سُنۢبُلَةࣲ مِّا۟ئَةُ حَبَّةࣲۗ وَٱللَّهُ یُضَـٰعِفُ لِمَن یَشَاۤءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ وَ ٰسِعٌ عَلِیمٌ
The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.
[Surah Al-Baqarah 261]
Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) also says in the Quran:
(إِنَّ ٱلۡمُصَّدِّقِینَ وَٱلۡمُصَّدِّقَـٰتِ وَأَقۡرَضُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنࣰا یُضَـٰعَفُ لَهُمۡ وَلَهُمۡ أَجۡرࣱ كَرِیمࣱ)
Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.
[Surah Al-Hadid 18]
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
During these trying times Allah has made us realize the significance of the many blessings that we have in our lives. Many of us would often be ungrateful towards the sustenance and provision that Allah has blessed us with. Ramadan is a month of Taqwa, gratitude, righteousness, humility, and generosity. The month of Ramadan makes us value our health and wealth, and the month pushes us to take advantage of these two blessings before we die. We are now in the late stage of the month of Ramadan and we would like to sincerely ask for your assistance towards an enlightening project for the Muslim community.
Rahma Sh. Abdillahi Sh. Ali Jowhar has always dreamt of creating a school in her hometown, Borama. With the goal of cultivating an elementary school, and a community centre that will offer night classes to adults. Tarbiya Academy is in the works of being built as the land has just been purchased. InshaAllah, the money raised will go towards building the school, buying equipment, hiring teachers and other aspects that go into creating a school for the community.
With the help of Allah and those in our community, we would greatly appreciate support and any money that you could spend at this time. Acquiring knowledge is the responsibility of every muslim, so help us in creating an accessible and safe learning environment for our dear Muslim children.
The virtues of charity during these last ten nights of Ramadan are of the greatest of rewards! This charity could be of Sadaqah Jariyah (on-going charity) for you.
Our beloved prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated: “When a man dies his good deeds come to an end except three: on-going charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous Child who will pray for him.”
May Allah return all that you donate back to you in tenfolds!
