My younger sister Sydney is one of the most generous, caring, kind people I know and the last couple years of her life has been unnecessarily hard on her. She has been dealing with multiple medical issues, including ones that involve very expensive treatments that are not guaranteed to work. She has severe TMJ disorder and torn discs in her jaw preventing dental work from being done. She needs work on her entire mouth and over a year of treatment to fix it, costing close to 30k for everything, otherwise she will most likely lose many teeth and ruin her jaw. She is also dealing with another major issue, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, which inhibits her from being able to stand for even short periods of time without crippling pain and little to no range or strength from her shoulder and arm. She will need surgery for this which will cost almost 10k. Sydney has been living with my husband and I for about a year due to the constant stream of medical bills making it impossible for her to have her own place or support herself independently.
